Just a quick scan across the various forums. ![]() and all of which have no such issues running LPX under Mavericks. to a maxed out 2013 i7 MBP to a top of the line 2014 Mac Pro and all have demonstrated issues regarding performance and stability with LPX and 10.10.x using a variety of different Audio/Midi interfaces, all of which have supposedly 10.10 compatible drivers. ![]() 7 different Macs ranging from 2010 Mac Mini i7 Servers to 2011 32GB 3.4Ghz iMacs. I personally, have on test here at the studios. over 80% have had to revert back to a previous configuration because of performance and/or stability related issues. and of those that have attempted to use Logic Pro X and Yosemite together. I have a quite large client list of Logic users from all over the world. Where are you getting that idea from because it simply isn't so. I have to be really honest with you Ben and say. I know many, many of us who are running things just fine. and compared to LP9's performance under Snow Leopard, it's really become a sad joke to be truthful. truly showed how much performance had dropped off under Yosemite compared to previous configurations. Using the Logic Multicore Benchmark test. ![]() with the same Hardware/Devices combination I did finally manage to get my FW Ultralites, along with a FW 2i2 and FW Saffire 24 DSP to work under Yosemite using the latest drivers but the overall performance of LPX was pretty dreadful under Yosemite (compared to the same performance with the same hardware under Mavericks.) and Logic misbehaved with CoreAudio in general blipping and squawking away to it's heart's content on frequent occasions when the system was being pushed hard.Įven on a top of the line 2014 Mac Pro, Logic Pro X struggled to reach anything near the performance expected and seen under earlier OS X versions. (along with much feedback from my clients.) currently Yosemite and LPX is a 'no go' no matter what external hardware you run it on. ![]()
